Warm Up Marshall CountyThis year, “Warm Up Marshall County” a winter coat collection and distribution project created by Steve Keiser of Oliver Ford Lincoln in Plymouth is celebrating its 20th year.

Each fall, Oliver Ford asks the citizens of Marshall County to clean out their closets of winter coats that they may no longer wear or that their kids have outgrown.  Clean, gently used winter coats are then collected until November 14th at a number of locations in an attempt to make sure everyone has a warm winter coat to wear as the weather gets colder and colder.

Last year approximately 650 gently-used and new coats were donated to “Warm Up Marshall County.”  As in the past couple of years, Warm Up Marshall County is asking that coats be clean and in good condition be donated.

Coats may be dropped off at Oliver Ford Lincoln 1001 East Jefferson Street in Plymouth or Beacon Credit Union at 855 North Oak Drive, Dr. Louis Plumlee’s office at 113 North Michigan Street, the Pilot News at 214 North Michigan Street, or here at the WTCA Studios at 112 West Washington Street all in Plymouth.

Coat will be distributed at the National Guard Armory at 1220 West Madison Street in Plymouth on Saturday, November 17th from 10 a.m. till noon and Sunday, November 18th from noon till 2 p.m.
