local News_2Members of the Marshall County Drainage Board award maintenance bids for four projects during their meeting on Monday.

LDP Excavating was awarded the bid for the Noah Berger Ditch in Walnut Township.  The project begins at 15th Road and continues to 14th Road and will clean the ditch to the original bottom for 6,200 feet and approximately 6,500 feet of the Berger Arm.  The low bid was $4,300.

Kolesiak Construction was the low bidder on the next three maintenance projects.  Approximately 5,560 feet of the Young arm of the Gall Unsicker Ditch will be cleaned to the original bottom and debrushed along both banks between 5th and 6th Road.  Their bid was $3,590.

The Leeper arm to the Outlet Ditch will have 3,420 feet cleaned beginning on the north side of 15th Road and going up stream to the west side of Hickory Road.  The low bid was $2,190.

The final maintenance project was 4,040 feet of the Leonard Wilson Ditch in Union Township beginning at the Culver Deucational Foundation parcel and upstream to the north side of 18th Road.  The low bid from Kolesiak was $2,650.

All projects are scheduled to be completed by April 1, 2019.
