TriWay_golfDon and Jan Kinney announced Monday morning that they will close the Tri-Way Golf Club.  For 52 years the Kinney family has enjoyed providing a family oriented golf facility for the public.  Jan said, “We have seen countless golfers learn the sport here and watched them improve and increase their enjoyment of the game.”  She continued, “We’ve seen them bring their own children and grandchildren to our course and we have been honored to have promoted a game that we love. “

In a press release Jan said, “But all good things must come to an end at some point and for us that point is now.  The course is currently for sale, as a golf course or as another purpose property, but Don and I will not reopen the golf course for the 2019 season.  Effective November 1, 2018 Tri-Way Golf Club will close.

The Kinneys want to thank everyone that has played their course over the years.  They especially want to thank their children and family members, along with the staff who, over the years, have been outstanding: Jim, Diane, Chris, Barry, Tom, Joe, Tim, Randy, Ben and Lee.  The Kinneys also took time to thank their members and league players who have been their backbone of play and their friends and neighbors who have helped numerous times.

Jan said, “There will be a sealed bid auction on November 15.  It’s their hope that someone will want to continue operation as a golf course, but the property is being marketed as a multi-purpose property.”

Don and Jan Kinney have operated the Tri-Way since 1998, 20 years.
