Triton_Talk Like a Pirate Day 2018Wednesday, September 19th was International Talk Like A Pirate Day and fifth graders at Triton Elementary School celebrated the holiday all day long. Fifth grade incorporated the pirate theme into each subject. Students found buried treasure using a coordinate grid, they learned the history of pirates through reading and research, used pirate lingo in a quick write, and capped the day off with a STEM activity involving engineering a pirate ship.
Triton School Corporation Scholars in Ms. Knisley’s Medical Detectives class conducted a dissection of a sheep brain today. Students labeled the parts of the sheep brain that are similar to the human brain. This is a great hands-on experience for students!
