Bowen Print Ribbon Cutting 2018Thursday afternoon Bowen Printing at 200 South Michigan Street held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony and an Open House celebrating their new look following the February flood.

Bowen Printing is a local, hometown business established in 1943 and still going strong.   While the business has changed hands over the years, their commitment to quality, creativity and top-notch customer service remains unchanged.

The February flood waters brought 14 inches into the city owned building that Bowen Printing had been leasing for 36 years.  When the city realized the insurance coverage on the building had a $100,000 deductable and the amount of damage to the building, Dawn Smith, owner of Bowen Printing negotiated with the city to purchase the building and make the necessary repairs.

That property has since been transferred from the city to Bowen Printing.

Mayor Mark Senter had his regular comment to say, “It’s another great day in Plymouth, IN.”  He commented that 7 months ago today Dawn Smith was standing inside Bowen Printing in 14 inches of water.  We truly appreciate her spirit.”
