MCCO_ Orchestra Members with Don Sept 2018The Marshall County Church Orchestra played their second Farmer’s Market concert of the season last Saturday morning.  The orchestra enjoys playing at least twice a season at the market under the Pergola which gives a little protection from the weather.  This past Saturday was a beautiful day weather wise and everyone enjoyed getting out to shop and enjoy each other’s company and listen to some great music from the orchestra under the direction of Don Harness.

With the two Farmer’s Market concerts and the Blueberry Festival Concert under their belts, the orchestra will now settle down and tackle a selection of Christmas music which has been chosen from the annual Classical Christmas Concert which takes place each November.   Christmas selections have been passed out to the orchestra members and rehearsal is underway.  The Classical Christmas will once again take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall #1975 located at 901 E. Jefferson St. in Plymouth.  Miller’s Assisted Living will provide the desserts and snacks for the evening.  Ticket information will be coming soon.

The Marshall County Church Orchestra is an intergenerational and interdenominational group of musicians who enjoy performing instrumental music to share the Word of our Lord.  The orchestra is always accepting new members.  Harness is pleased to announce the three newest members of the orchestra who debuted their talents at the Farmer’s Market on September 15th and will also be playing at The Classical Christmas concert.  They are Kendra Ohime (trombone) who is the Oregon Davis band teacher, and Oregon Davis eight graders Berrek Ohime (trumpet) and Spencer Berg (tuba).  Anyone interested in joining the Marshall County Church Orchestra should call Don Harness at 574-936-7357.
