OQC_FillAStockingOperation Quiet Comfort sends care packages to America’s military men and women who become sick and injured while serving in harm’s way.  They also provide support to those who care for them.

This national organization is gearing up for the holiday season with their annual “Fill a Stocking and A Troop’s Heart” campaign.  All the packing and shipping happens right here in Plymouth.

Approximately 2,500 to 3,000 Christmas stockings will be shipped to the troops filled with goodies including a beef stick and granola bar, hand and toe warmers, assorted seasonal goodies, a pair of white socks, a calling card, puzzle books, playing cards and hand written holiday cards from volunteers.

Monetary donations are being accepted for the items in the stocking and a suggested donation of $10 per stocking is being sought.  Donations can be made by mail or Jan Houin and sent to 17671 13th Road in Plymouth or you can send money through PayPal at admin@operationquietcomfort.com.

Volunteers will be filling the stocking and packing them into boxes for transportation to various units around the world on Saturday, November 10th so contributions are needed in the next several weeks to secure the items that go in the stockings.

If you want to make a cash donation you can drop them off at the WTCA Studios at 112 West Washington Street in downtown Plymouth.
