Marshall County will submit an application to INDOT for the 2018 Community Crossing Matching Grant for five projects totaling $1,330,000.
During Monday’s County Council meeting Highway Supervisor Jason Peters presented paperwork for the Council’s signature affirming their support for the local matching fund of $332,500. The grant application is in the amount of $997,500.
Projects on the application with their cost estimates include Dogwood Road from US 6 to the county line at $433,000; 11th Road from US 31 to South Michigan Road for $159,000; North Michigan Road from the City of Plymouth limits to Veterans Parkway at a cost of $273,000; Dogwood Road from State Road 331 to US6 for $203,000 and 9B Road from Union Road to the County Line for $262,000.
If the county isn’t successful in attaining the entire $1 million on the first round they may submit for additional funding up the the million dollar amount early next year.
The County Council unanimously approved the Community Crossing application.
