Arrested_handcuffLast Thursday, September 6th about 9:15 Plymouth Police Officers were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot in reference to a female yelling in the parking lot.

Officer Shanna Gilmer arrived and located 62 year old Sherry L. Couch of South Bend who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance.  She resisted officers and had a belligerent attitude.

Couch was transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was non-compliant and continued to resist commands from the officers.

Couch’s bond was set at $1,000 and she was given a court date of October 9th in Superior Court II.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
