GOV_HOLCOMB_pLYMOUTH_1Wednesday Governor Holcomb held a press conference in the new INDOT sub-station in Plymouth to talk about his upcoming infrastructure plan.

He did announce that by raising toll road rates on 3,4,and 5 axle trucks, the Toll Road will be generating an extra $1billion for the State, paid in three increments, each October over three years. Of that $1billion, various projects will be funded, including $190 million for US31, US30, and US20.
Gov_Holcomb_Plymouth_4mapIn Marshall County State Road10 interchange will be created while the same thing will happen in Miami County at State Road 18 and in Peru for Business 31.

Gov_Holcomb_Plymouth_3 Jack JordanThe map presented at the press conference confirmed that State Road 10 in Argos will get an interchange, but absolutely no details were discussed on the plan for the interchange.  The governor said the projects should be completed by 2023.

Holcomb said “This will reduce stoplights to two and we won’t stop there, we will keep working until US31 is truly a freeway, stoplight free.”
