Park Superintendent Mike Hite said he has budgeted a fencing project this year and plans to replace the interior chain-link fencing with a black vinyl coated chain-link and the outfield fencing with galvanized chain-link fencing.

Three companies submitted bids for the project including:          D Mark Fencing of Plymouth submitted a bid of $36,835.14 while Cardinal Supply out of Plymouth bid $35,753.75 and Mikes Fencing of Warsaw submitted $40,959.  Superintendent Hite said his staff may do some of the work such as removing the old chain-link fence and paint the existing posts.

Complete Concepts Concrete from South Bend proposed pouring a concrete cap for $83,823 while Michiana Contracting bid the 4 inch limestone cap for $45,935.

The block project also includes power-washing, tuck pointing, caulking and waterproofing.

Superintendent Hite said he wanted to get the projects completed yet this fall and asked the park board to give him permission to review the bids and select the most reasonable bid and move forward with the project.  Park board members approved his request.
