MugShot_Tara DodsonA Warsaw woman was arrested at an Indiana prison after allegedly refusing to leave until her brother, Lane Dodson was released.

Police say they later found that she had a gun.

It happened on July 24 at the Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill where Lane Dodson is being incarcerated for Attempted Murder and Intimidation.  He was sentenced to 35 year by Marshall County Judge Robert Bowen.

According to a prison representative, Tara Dodson was told multiple times that she needed to leave the grounds or she would be arrested for trespassing.

The Warsaw woman was allegedly making threats and said she wouldn’t leave until her brother was released.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Department was called, and they arrested Dodson. Officers say they found a 9mm handgun while searching her.

Dodson was booked on the following charges: criminal trespass, an A misdemeanor; and trafficking with an inmate, a level 5 felony. Her bail was set for $13,000, which she has already posted.

“The staff at Miami Correctional Facility were faced with a new and dangerous challenge. Staff handled it professionally and efficiently without any negative repercussions,” Warden Bill Hyatte said.
