A Plymouth man was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital in Plymouth following a single vehicle accident on State Road 17 Wednesday morning.
About 8:30 in the morning, 89 year old Chester Sroka was traveling north on State Road 17 in a 2004 Buick when he says a south bound truck was over the center lane. Sroka told Plymouth Police Officer John Weir that he moved over to the right and when his tires hit the berm it pulled him down causing the car drive through the grassy area, hit a fire hydrant, street sign and then roll-over. The vehicle landed on the south side of Kenwood Avenue at State Road 17.
Chester Sroka was out of the vehicle before the ambulance arrived on the scene. He was transported to the hospital with minor complaints of pain in the back.
