Sherrie Martin, Festival Coordinator said, “The basket is created by Peterboro Basket Company in New Hampshire.
Made of Appalachian white ash, the same wood baseball bats are made from making them very sturdy, this woven basket had two strips of blue woven in to decorate the basket. It has two wooden handles and the 2018 Blueberry brass plaque. The basket comes with a decorative blueberry cloth handle grip and measures approximately 14″L x 12½”W x 6½”H not including the swing handles.
Martin said, “Every piece of the basket is made in America.” The baskets are in limited supply at the Festival office this week until Thursday and will be available at the Marshall County Blueberry Festival souvenir booths for $45 this weekend.
