vote_buttonsRepublicans in both Culver and Bourbon will conduct Town Conventions this month as they select the Town Council candidates that will be on the ballot for the November General Election.

In Culver, Republicans will gather at the Culver Train Depot at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 20th for the purpose of selecting the nominees for the two Town Council seats.  There are four candidates filed for the seats, incumbents David Beggs and Sally Ricciardi who are being challenged by Bill Cleavenger and Bill Githens.

The winner of the Republican convention will face Democrat Richard (Rich) West in the November General Election.

The Republicans in Bourbon have one seat open in the November General Election.  Incumbent Les McFarland is being challenged by Jordon Fuller for that seat in the town convention on August 15th.

Bourbon Republicans will gatherat 6:30 p.m. at the Matchette Square Senior Center, 805 North Harris Street on Wednesday, August 15th to vote on their candidate.

The Democrats do not have a challenger for the Bourbon Town Council seat in November.
