West Jefferson-1Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt told members of the Board of Public Works and Safety that the issue with the berm on West Jefferson Street has been addressed.

For the past three year, Roy Roush, a resident on West Jefferson Street has asked to city multiple times to make improvements to the berm on the north side of the road near the city limits.

Marquardt told the board they removed 8 to 10 inches of soil and used 6 to 8 inches of millings and a couple inches of limestone in the berm area to make it more stable.  He said his employees also used a roller to compact the project.

Marquardt said with all  the rain last weekend the berm stayed in place.
