The Marshall County 4-H Fair was on Sunday, July 15 until Saturday, July 21. The rich heritage of the 4-H program is one to be valued and passed along to future generations. This past week dozens of Plymouth Community School Corporation students proudly competed in various events at this year’s fair.

4-H_Annie KellerAnnie Keller, a senior at Plymouth High School was chosen as one of the top five individuals from this year’s Ambassador Board to be named a Marshall County 4-H Star Achiever.

Ambassador Board Members are expected to serve in a number of 4-H events, including but not limited to: handing out ribbons at 4-H Livestock shows, assisting with buyer recognition at the 4-H Livestock Auction, hosting workshops, giving demonstrations, and or helping at the tractor contest.

The top 5 individuals from the ambassador board are named “Marshall County 4-H Star Achievers” and will serve a 1-year term, spanning from opening ceremonies of the current year’s Marshall County 4- H Fair to opening ceremonies of the following year’s fair.

4-H_Jack HartleySoon-to-be Washington Discovery Academy 2nd grade student Jack Hartley created a honey bees mini poster for the competition he was in at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair.

Soon-to-be WDA fourth grade student Carrson Houin took part in competing in a welding competition at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair!

4-H_Zeke HolsoppleZeke Holsopple competed in the 4-H Electric Project category at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair! This fall Zeke will be in the 4th grade at Washington Discovery Academy.

4-H_Teyah BarnhartWashington Discovery Academy soon-to-be 4th grade student Teyah Barnhart won Reserve Grand Champion for her Shooting Sport project at this year’s 2018 Marshall County 4-H Fair.

4-H_Hudson DavisHudson Davis competed in the 2018 Marshall County 4-H Fair Shooting Sports Project category. He will be entering 4th grade at Washington Discovery Academy this fall!

Ellianna Schaller brought home the Division Champion in the grilling competition at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair! Elli will be in eighth grade at Lincoln Jr. High this school year.

4-H_Aubrey FergusonSoon-to-be Riverside Intermediate School sixth grade student Aubrey Ferguson earned a blue ribbon for her ladybug cupcakes at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair!

4-H_Cassidy Riddle

Cassidy Riddle, a soon-to-be seventh grade Lincoln Jr. High student, was awarded Reserve Grand Champion for her detailed wildlife poster on the ruby-throated hummingbird. Her project contains detailed information on how the hummingbird generally spends the winter in Central America, Mexico, and Florida, and migrates to Eastern North America for the summer.

Levi Wright, a third grade student at Webster Elementary School this fall stands next to Cassidy. Levi showed Cassidy’s goat for the mini competition at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair!

Mia Hartley, a soon-to-be Riverside Intermediate School fifth grade student was deemed the Division Reserve Champion for Child Development at this year’s 2018 Marshall County 4-H Fair.

Ella Davis completed two mini 4-H projects for competitions at the 2018 Marshall County 4-H Fair! Ella will be going into 2nd grade this upcoming school year at Washington Discovery Academy.

Taylor Delp was awarded the Grand Champion for her picture perfect cupcakes at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair. Taylor will be entering eighth grade at Lincoln Jr. High School this coming fall.

Nathan Filson, a soon-to-be freshman at Plymouth High School was deemed Division Reserve Champion in Geology at this year’s Marshall County 4-H Fair.
