Carey's ribbon cuttingCarey Weir has been in the child care business since 1996.  She went to Bethel College and earned her degree in early childhood education.  The Weirs started their business in their home on South Michigan Road.  Her reputation as a trustworthy and high quality daycare provider helped to grow her business.  In fact, it was so successful that they purchased two homes, side-by-side on North Walnut Street in 2012 and relocated the business across the street from the courthouse.

The Weirs purchased property near the hospital at 1717 Lake Avenue in 2017 and recently completed construction on a new building that will accommodate children from birth to pre-k.  Each of the four rooms is based on children’s books.

Carey’s Child Care is one of five facilities in Marshall County that are qualified for On My Way Pre-K.  On My Way Pre-K awards grants to 4 year olds from low-income families so that they may have access to a high-quality pre-K program the year before they begin kindergarten.

The Wiers will be holding an open house on Monday, July 23rd from 5:30 until 7 p.m. for families wanting more information on top quality childcare.
