MugShot_Kenneth LivergoodOn Friday July 6th, at approximately 9:50 in the evening, Sgt. Nicholas Laffoon of the Marshall County Police Department was working DUI Taskforce in the area of U.S. 30 and Union Road.   He stopped a vehicle for traffic infractions and found the driver, 40 year old Kenneth A. Livergood of LaPaz operating a vehicle after a lifetime license suspension.

During the traffic stop County K9 Officer Andrew responded to the scene.  His K9 partner Irok was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics.  

A subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle yielded syringes, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia from the vehicle.  Further investigation also found that part of the vehicle had been listed as stolen from Highland, Indiana  

An adult female passenger, 32 year Destenie Marie Carey was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and released at the scene.

Kenneth A. Livergood was transported from the scene to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for Auto Theft, Unlawful Possession of Syringe, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana and Operating after a Life Time Suspension.     

Patrolman Cullen Smith and Patrolman Ryan Hollopeter assisted at the scene.
