Mark FaulstichLt. Colonel Mark Faulstich, a 1994 graduate of Plymouth High School retired from the U. S. Air Force on June 11th at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

When he retired Faulstich was the Chief, Fusion Branch, Principal Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force for Space Staff at the Pentagon.  The Fusion Branch supports space enterprise processes across the Department of Defense and national level, working with integrated products teams to synchronize decision points, facilitate information crossflow, and develop appropriate metrics and national-level space enterprise assessments.

Lt. Colonel Faulstich is a 1998 graduate of the USAF Academy, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Space Operations.

Mark Faulstich’s space experience includes assignments in launch, test and evaluation, joint space operations command and control, and Air Force Space Command staffs.  He is also a graduate of the Air Force Institute of Technology and worked as a Force Management Planner for United States Central Command.  His previous assignment was the 1st Ranger Operations Squadron Commander, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

Mark and his wife Kara, and their two daughters, Sydney (13) and Carissa (10) will head to Colorado and blast off into the next chapter of their lives.  Mark wants to do some freelance fantasy/science fiction writing in his spare time, but with an eternal purpose in mind.  He has been accepted to attend the Denver Seminary starting this fall where he hopes to continue to live out his personal life mission statement: “Serve With Inspiration to Save” not just for his country now, but for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

USAF Lt. Col. Mark Faulstich is the son of Mark C. and Joyce Faulstich of Plymouth and brother of James, Jason and Jeffery.  He attended St. Michael Catholic School, Lincoln Junior High and Plymouth High School, graduating in 1994.
