Argos Police Officer Rodney Rudd responded to the crash and found a blue, 2005 Hyundai Elantra and a tan 2003 Cadillac Escalade in the north and south bound lanes of U.S. 31.

The crash report indicates that 44 year old Tommi Hummel of Plymouth was east bound on State Road 10 driving the Hunyadi attempting to cross the south bound lanes of 31 and failed to yield the right-of-way to south bound traffic.  The Hummel vehicle pulled into the path of the Cadillac driven by 44 year old Bradley Baldwin of Walkerton.  The impact forced Hummel’s vehicle into the south bound lanes while Bradley’s Cadillac ended in the north bound lanes of 31.

Tommi Hummel was airlifted from the scene with incapacitating leg and hip injuries while Hopkins suffered severe head injuries was also airlifted.
