Triton Graduation2018The 66 members of the 2018 Class of Triton Jr./Sr. High School held graduation ceremonies on Sunday, June 3rd.

Principal Robert Ross said over half of the graduates earned an academic Honors Diploma or Technical Honors Diploma and nearly half received 15 dual credits from Ivy Tech by the end of the first semester of their senior year.

Valedictorian Kate Gardner said, “Thank you to the staff who have supported us from kindergarten to our senior year.” “Many of us have spent the last 13 years of our lives together, 2340 days and nearly 58,968,000 seconds together. It would be impossible not to form strong bonds within a class as wonderful as ours.” She said.

Gardner said, “The class of 2018 is full of many bright and talented individuals. We have artists, musicians, athletes, photographers, scholars, and so much more. I am confident that Triton High School and our community prepared us well for this next stage in our lives.”

Salutatorian Ryan Snyder told his classmates they are the best part of being in a small class. Snyder said, “Every single one of your faces is familiar to me. I can look at any one of you and have some memory come to mind, whether it is of something dumb we did outside of school, whether it is because we were on one of each others’ teams in some sport, or whether it is just from something that has happened in class.” “And it is for this reason that I am able to have faith, that without a doubt, every single person in this class of 2018 is going to do big things.”

Presenting the class was Mason McIntyre, Dean of Students , and presenting diplomas and certificates was Ross and Jeremy Riffle, superintendent.
