On Saturday, May 26 about 1:15 in the morning the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a concerned citizen who said there was a male subject walking around and yelling in the area of 20th Road east of Fir.
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff Department along with Bourbon Police were dispatched to investigate the situation. When Officers arrived in the area they located a 1990 Chevy Pickup truck that had left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Officers observed no one around the vehicle and continued to check the area for the male subject that was reported to be walking around. Officers located the male subject a short distance west of the accident location.
During the investigation, officers learned that the male subject, Orlando Garcia of Bourbon, was driving his 1990 Chevy truck east on 20th Road when he swerved causing the vehicle to run off the roadway and colliding with a tree.
Argos EMS was notified and arrived to provide medical attention to Garcia due to injury to his shoulder area as a result of the collision. Mr. Garcia was transported to Plymouth Hospital for medical treatment.
Lyon`s Wrecker Service was notified to assist with the removal of the vehicle due to substantial damage as a result of the collision.
Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.
