Helping cut the ribbon were Dollar General staff,  Bourbon Town Council President, Les McFarland and Marshall County Commissioners President, Kevin Overmyer.

McFarland said, “We appreciate Dollar General investing in our great community. The newly opened store will give people more choices to shop in Bourbon. Dollar General brought ten new jobs to Bourbon.”

In presenting the details of the grant process to the Council, Overmyer indicated that the opening of Dollar General would be the type of project that shows progress in the area.

Following the Dollar General Grand Opening, Overmyer said, “I want to thank the Town of Bourbon and their elected officials for their work on this project. “ He said Council members, Les McFarland, Larry Wattenbarger, and P.J. Hanley along with Clerk/Treasurer Kim Berger worked hard to bring a new business into the area.
