The City of Plymouth will begin working on their Spring Street and Sidewalk Projects next week. Walsh and Kelly Inc. from South Bend was the low bidder on the projects the will mill-off the top coat of asphalt and then put down a new coat of asphalt.
The streets that Walsh and Kelly will be working on starting next week on Monday, April 23rd include: North Street at the intersection with Center Street with a completion date of April 25th; Maple Avenue east of Freeman Road with a completion date of April 28th; Liberty Street from Webster Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue with a completion date of May 7th and various streets on the southeast side of Oak Hill Cemetery that will be completed by April 26th.
Walsh and Kelly will begin another set of projects on Wednesday April 25th and Thursday the 26th. On Wednesday West LaPorte Street from Center Street to Plum Street with a completion date of April 28th; West Washington Street from Plum to Michigan Street with a completion date of May 1st and on the 26th they will work on West Jefferson Street from North Walnut Street to just east of North Michigan Street.
Drivers are urged to avoid these areas but if you must drive in the work zone be prepared to stop and even change lanes.
