arrested_handcuffsA traffic stop on Thursday, March 29th by Plymouth Police Officer Ben McIntyre resulted in the arrest of a South Bend woman and a Plymouth man.

About 12:15 on Thursday Officer McIntyre stopped a vehicle at Michigan and 7B Road for a traffic violation. During the stop, Officer Weir and K9 Jax from the city police department were used.

Jax alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and methamphetamine paraphernalia in the car.

30 year old Dawn Walter of South Bend and 32 year old Micah Kunkle were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.  Kunkle was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia and held on a $250 cash bond while Walter was also held on a possession charge with a $500 cash bond.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
