Minor Injuries in Head-On Crash Tuesday Morning on US 6

Crash investigation_VehicularAn apparent sleepy driver caused a two vehicle crash on US 6, west of Douglas Road Tuesday morning about 5:30. 

According to Officer Travis O’Neal from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Maribel Sosa of Bremen was traveling east on US 6 in a 2014 Honda CRV when it is believed she fell asleep and crossed the center line striking a 2016 International Prostar semi head on.

Sosa had to be extricated from her vehicle by the Bremen Fire Department and was transported from the scene by Lutheran EMS to the Bremen Hospital.  She was treated and released later that same morning.

The semi driver, Jesse Manderson of Indianapolis was not injured in the crash.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this accident. 

Marshall County Police were assisted at the scene by Bremen Police and the Indiana State Police.
