Crash investigation_VehicularOfficer Joe Giordano with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two vehicle crash Tuesday morning just before 10 on Lincoln Highway east of Pioneer Drive.

A Ford Ranger driven by 40 Sarah Betz of Plymouth was traveling east on Lincoln Highway when she crossed the center line near Lyon’s Wrecker Service due to the slippery road conditions.  Betz’s vehicle struck a Ford F 250 driven by 45 year old Zaccheus Hutchings of Plymouth.

Both vehicle sustained heavy impact damage with airbag deployment in the Betz vehicle which caused her to lose conscious.  She was flown to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment of her injuries.

Zaccheur Hutching was transported to the Plymouth Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Department were the Plymouth Police Department and Plymouth Fire and EMS.
