Special Olympics Indiana is a nonprofit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in more than 20 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, reaching more than 12,000 athletes throughout the state of Indiana.
Each winter they conduct a Polar Plunge Fundraiser. The local event will be in South Bend this weekend and there are 4 local teams from Plymouth participating.
Two local teams from Plymouth will be participating; Kroger and Uptown Retro Girl. These two teams have a combined total of 13 plungers.
The weather is supposed to be just right for the Polar Plunge on Saturday, not to warm and not to cold.
It’s not too late to sponsor a plunger in this event, just drop your donation off at Kroger in care of Mike Newell or JoAnn Hughes or at Uptown Retro Girl.
