arrested_handcuffsOn Friday, February 16th, about 12:30 in the morning, Bourbon  Emergency services were called to US30 and State Road 331 for a possible vehicle fire.

Officer Matt Geiger and reserve Officer Adam Kraning arrived and found that a fire had been started behind a vehicle by Dustin K. Catanzarite and Emily A. Weade.

Mr. Catanzarite told the officers he started some jeans on fire to keep warm since their car was broken down.

Both subjects spoke slow and had constricted pupils. During the investigation, officers located about 2.7 grams of methamphetamine, syringes, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.

Both subjects were arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail for processing.

Catanzarite and Weade, both of South Bend were charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of a Schedule IV Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were given a court date of March 13th in the Marshall County Superior Court 2. Catanzarite was held on a cash bond of $3000 due to other court proceedings it was doubled and Weade was given a cash bond of $1500.
