Heavy lake effect snow will make for difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected with locally higher amounts possible in Marshall County.
The Winter Storm warning is in effect until midnight tonight.
Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow making travel difficult, especially on east west roads. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are expected this afternoon. Visibilities will be near zero within the heavier snow bands. US highway 30 will be impacted.
