MugShot_Russell KearneyOn Sunday, December 03, Sergeant Les McFarland with the Marshall County Police Department stopped Russell Kearney, age 48 from Syracuse for exceeding the posted speed limit, 80 mph in a 60 mph zone on US 30 in the area of State Road 331. 

During the traffic stop, it was found that Kearney had a suspended – prior driver license.  He also had an active arrest warrant for Auto Theft through Kosciusko County.

Russell Kearney was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail on a $3,000 cash bond. 

MugShot_Aaron HoffmanWhile conducting the traffic stop, Officer McFarland located a substance believed to be marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  The front seat passenger, Aaron Hoffman, age 33 of Warsaw was also arrested.  Hoffman was lodged into the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Paraphernalia and held on a $3,000 cash bond. 

A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor`s Office for review and formal charges being filed.
