City NEwsThe Plymouth Common Council will conduct two public hearings during their meeting Monday evening at 6:30.  The first is for the tax abatement request of River Gate South, the residential apartment complex on the south side of the Yellow River in downtown Plymouth.  The second public hearing is the notice for proposed water and sewer rates and charges.  It is anticipated that the council will consider the ordinances to increase rates on second and third readings.

Also on the agenda for Monday’s city meeting is first reading of an ordinance the will fix salaries for city elected officials for 2018. The ordinance proposes no increase for next year.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the conference room of the Plymouth Fire Department.  The agenda includes a resolution regarding the TechFarm Land Sales Agreement and how proceeds are to be directed.

In Other Business the Board of Works will hear from the Mayor’s Youth Council on the Adopt A Street Program.

The city meetings are open to the public although comments and limited to agenda items only.  Those attending should use the entrance furthest to the south of the building.
