The project involved a contest to select an original work of art depicting the County Courthouse that would be submitted to a collection of images depicting all 92 Indiana County Courthouses, which is being assembled by the Indiana State Bar Association.
The winning artwork has been on display at the County Tourism office for the last several months. At a ceremony Friday, the Marshall County Bar Association unveiled a plaque that will hand on the lobby wall on the main floor of the Court House.
Indiana State Bar Association Past-President Douglas Church started the statewide Courthouse Art Project during his presidency a number of years ago attended the ceremony. He told those gathered that the Marshall County Court House art work will be the 54th in the collection that is housed on the 5th floor of the Regions Bank Building and is open to the public to view.
