Bremen_Police_black SUVA traffic stop Sunday morning about 12:15 ended with a pair from South Bend being incarcerated in the Marshall County Jail.

Bremen Police Officer Trent Stouder conducted a traffic stop at Plymouth Goshen Trail and Beech Road early Sunday morning.  The two occupants of the vehicle, 38 year old Jay C. Gardner and 32 year old Jennifer L. Boggs were both arrested.

Gardner was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Ms. Boggs was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating A Vehicle with a Scheduled Controlled Substance.  She was held on a $3,000 cash bond.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
