car-pedestrian-accidentEmergency responders were dispatched to the Lincoln Junior High Wednesday morning at 8 for a student who was struck by a vehicle.

Plymouth Police Officer Matt McIntrye investigate the incident and found that 36 year old Susan Schadek of Plymouth was traveling westbound on Gibson Street passing Roy Street when she observed a juvenile pedestrian exit a vehicle and then walk around to the front of the vehicle getting ready to cross the street.

Schadek told Officer McIntrye the student hesitated like she was going to wait for her to pass, however, she attempted to cross the street without looking.

Ms. Schadek had slowed to less than 15 MPH when she observed the girl at the roadside not looking at traffic and step in the roadway colliding with vehicle.

The LJH student was not injured and her mother was on scene and refused medical treatment from Plymouth EMS.
