arrested_handcuffsA Plymouth man was arrested after city police investigated a hit and skip accident at the corner of Lake and Kenwood Avenues.

Monday evening about 10 Officer Emenhiser located the suspected vehicle at 1000 PIDCO Drive.

During the investigation It was determined the driver, 42 year old Justin M. Wilcox was Operating While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit.

Officer Beatty took Wilcox into custody and transported him to the Marshall County Jail.  He was charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of an Accident and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
