Aquatic Center parking_1Financing on the Aquatic Center in Plymouth is moving along.  During Tuesday’s Plymouth Redevelopment Commission meeting City Attorney Sean Surrisi updated members on the project.

Closing for the New Market Tax Credits and other financing sources including those from the Redevelopment Commission needs to be closed in a 90-day window that started about 10 days ago.

Surrisi said he anticipates presenting a resolution to the Redevelopment Commission at their November meeting advancing about $100,000 for the aquatic center that would be repaid at the financing closing.  He said the funding will allow them to start with the foundations on the aquatic center and the building housing the Marshall County Community Foundation, United Way and early childhood learning center.  The developer wants to get the foundation in before the ground freezes.

The United Way/Day Care Center building came to the Technical Review Committee (TRC) on Tuesday with very limited issues.  It’s not anticipated that they will need any variances.  The two lots on the north side of Miller Drive where the building will be located will be re-platted into one lot.
