What could be a more perfect blend than books and coffee? Join the Bremen Public Library on Friday, October 13 for The Perfect Blend — a coffee tasting featuring Mean Bean’s full line of fall flavors combined with a book signing featuring author Sarah Price.
Starting at 2 p.m., participants can sample a variety of coffee flavors from Mean Bean Bistro and Brew including: Sweet Potato Pie, Pumpkin Spice, Jazzy Jack-o-Lantern, Harvest Spice, Molasses Spiced Cookie, Caramel Candy Apple and Regular Mean Bean Brew. Small cups will be available for the coffee tasting. This is a free event and if you fill out a rating card on the fall flavors you will be entered to win a book by author Sarah Price!
Sarah Price comes from a long line of devout Mennonites. Her involvement with the Amish dates back to 1978 when she wrote her first novel, “Fields of Corn,” while studying anthropology and writing at Drew University. She was drawn to the Amish culture of Lancaster County where she is involved with numerous Amish communities and is considered family by some and friend by most others.
“Fields of Corn” went on to become an Amazon bestseller and “First Impressions, A Retelling of Pride & Prejudice,” Sarah’s salute to Jane Austen from an Amish perspective, debuted on the ECPA bestseller list. In 2014, “An Amish Buggy Ride” became a #1 Amazon bestseller in Religious Romance. Her 20th novel, “Belle: An Amish Retelling of Beauty and the Beast (An Amish Fairytale)” will be released in paperback Oct. 31, 2017.
Price has advanced degrees in communication, marketing, and educational leadership and is a former college professor. She now writes full-time and talks about her books and her faith on a daily live stream with readers. Learn more about Sarah and her novels at sarahpriceauthor.com.
