A probationer was arrested Monday evening and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Probation Violation and Interfering with a drug or alcohol screen.

Plymouth Police Officer Jeremy Enyart was dispatched to the Marshall County Probation Department at 6:52 for a failed drug screen, thus violating the terms of probation.

28 year old Trent Furnivall of Etna Green was taken into custody without incident. During the personal search at the Marshall County Jail a container with a liquid meant to alter the screening was located on his person which added the charge of interfering with a drug or alcohol screen. Trent was lodged in the jail and given a $500.00 cash bond.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
