Marshall County Police are asking anyone with information on the Sunday morning accident in the 10,000 block of Muckshaw Road to contact them with details.
At 1:32 a.m. a 2013 Volkswagen 4 door passenger car was south bound and for an unknown reason ran off the east side of the roadway and struck a utility pole south of Plymouth.
After striking the utility pole, which broke with a portion of the pole landing on the vehicle, the unknown driver fled on foot from the scene.
Marshall County REMC responded and repaired the damage to the utility pole.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating this incident and is requesting that anyone with information about this collision contact the Sheriff’s Department.
