During Monday evening’s Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting, members agreed to write off 2016 delinquent bills totaling $1,883.63. The total includes $834.38 for water bills, $471.40 wastewater billing, $525.38 for garbage collection and $52.47 in storm water billing. Thirty-four customers are involved in the delinquent billing write off.
City Clerk Treasurer Jeanine Xaver said they have a 99% collection rate on city billing.
While those unpaid bills are written-off, the city does work to collect them and anyone attempting to acquire service from the city again is required to pay any past due amount prior to receiving service.
