The Marshall County Shady Rest Committee will meet Tuesday, October 10th at 2 p.m. in the 2nd floor meeting room of the County Building. The committee will discuss a proposal for the use of the County Home on Lincoln Highway east of Plymouth.
Last month the committee heard a presentation from Ted Hayden of Prairie View Adult Services and Gregg Erickson who are joining forces to provide an interdiction recovery service in the facility.
Committee members were interested in the proposed services and felt there was a need in the county to provide additional options for the court system.
The committee will continue their discussion on the proposed project at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10th and discuss moving forward for the proposal. The meeting is open to the public.
It is anticipated the committee will make a recommendation to the Commissioners on filling the vacant Shady Rest facility with a not-for-profit entity in the near future.
