Centennial Park_front gatePlymouth Park Superintendent Mike Hite gave park board members an update during their meeting this week.

Hite said Blueberry Festival prep went fantastic with lots of organization by his staff, festival committee members and volunteers.  He also said the park experienced minimal damage to grass in spots and the festival is handling the re-seeding.

Updating members on paving projects, Hite said paving should start in the next couple of weeks.  The Hoosier Old Wheels Trail that goes back to the sledding hill will be paved, noting additional traffic from the reconfigured parking lot at the tennis courts had many school busses using the road to enter and exit the facility.  Also on the agenda new pavement is the drive and parking area at the amphitheatre.

The Plymouth Park Board also approved the request of Ounce of Prevention for their walk on the Greenway Trail October 8th and a 5K Run/Walk for the Marshall County Reading Council on November 11th at the Freyman Shelter.
