Monday evening the Plymouth Common Council approved a resolution transferring $12,600 from Capital Outlays to Other Services and Charges. The transfer is for a lease of the first floor of 118 North Michigan Street as the temporary city hall while renovation work is underway. The Mayor’s Office and Clerk’s office will move to the location next week and will be there till May 2018.
After unanimously approved the transfer resolution the Common Council approved a lease with Mike Umbaugh for the 118 North Michigan Street building. The lease is $1,400 monthly from September through May and includes all costs including utilities.
The clerk’s office will have daily access to the safe and drop box on the north side of City Hall. Payments can still be dropped off in the drop box but payments in person will be handled in the new location, two doors south of City Hall.
