Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter received a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice this morning from Del Monte Foods in Plymouth.

The letter states that the company expects to stage position eliminations beginning on November 10 and production will cease operation on or around February 1, 2018.

The plant currently has 107 full-time employees along with a number of part-time positions that are expected to be affected.  The company will be providing a severance package, including outplacement services to all impacted employees in accordance with the company guidelines.

According to the Del Monte website “the Plymouth plant spans 19 acres and consists of 5 production lines.  These lines produce ketchup and tomato-based sauces, along with juice from concentrate in plastic, metal and bag containers year round.  Plymouth produces approximately 11 million cases annually of Del Monte/Contadina Brand and private label products.”
