The Rees Theatre in downtown Plymouth will be selling gangs of seats from the Rees Theatre at this week’s Plymouth Farmers Market. A booth will be set up at the market this Saturday, September 16 from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. at River Park Square. In the booth there will be a sample of a 4 seat gang of chairs and 5 seat gang of chairs. They will be showing in their original condition right out of the theatre and in a cleaned up versions for reference. Purchasers would be responsibly to have their own gang of chairs cleaned at their own expense.
The Rees Restoration committee is asking for a minimum donation of $50.00 or more. While the seats will not be available to take home this Saturday, payment is requested in advance of the pick-up date which will be announce and is planned for in October. Orders will be taken this Saturday at the Farmers’ Market and seats reserved.
This is part of the fundraising efforts for the necessary repair work on the exterior of the building that needs to be completed before the winter of 2017.
