The Marshall County Council meets Monday morning beginning at 9 a.m. with their regular monthly meeting and the 2018 budget hearings.
The first item of business is James Bend and James Pheibush from the Probation department seeking additional funding for Care of Inmate Patients. Sheriff Matt Hassel and Annette Osborn from WIC are requesting waiver of the 90 day probation period pay for transfer employees and Jonathan Leist from the Town of Culver will discuss the Economic Development Commissioner.
County Council members will also hear the personnel committee recommendations on a number of positions and Kent Irwin will discuss job classifications.
About 10:30 council members will begin the process of making cuts to the 2018 budget requests. They will review each department’s budget.
The meeting is open to the public and is held in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.
