School_board_meetingThe Plymouth School Board held public hearings on the proposed 2018 budgets during their meeting Tuesday, September 5th.

The board is expected to adopt the budgets at the school board meeting on October 3, on or near 7:00 P.M.

The estimated budget amounts include the following: Rainy Day Fund, $600,000; General Fund, $25,710,491; Debt Service Fund, $5,580,618; School Pension Fund, $293,058; Capital Projects Plan, $3,293,100; Transportation Fund, $1,316,950; and Bus Replacement Fund, $408,000. The total estimated budget amount is $37,202,217.

The proposed budget including the maximum estimated funds to be raised, is open to the public.

Ten or more taxpayers may object to a budget, tax rate, or tax levy by filing an objection petition with the proper officers of the Plymouth Community School Corporation not more than seven days from the hearing date.
