2017 Bluebery Basket_1The 51st Annual Marshall County Blueberry Festival over Labor Day Weekend unveiled the 13th collector basket on WTCA Thursday morning.

Sherrie Martin, Festival Coordinator said, “The basket this year is created by Peterboro Basket Company in New Hampshire.

2017 Blueberry Basket_2This year’s basket is a larger shopping basket.   Made of Appalachian white ash, the same wood baseball bats are made from making them very sturdy, this woven basket had two strips of blue woven in to decorate the basket.  It has two wooden handles and the 2017 Blueberry brass plaque.  The basket comes with a decorative blueberry cloth bottom insert and cloth handle grip.

2017 Blueberry Basket_3Martin said, “Every piece of the basket is made in America.”  The baskets are in limited supply and are available for $50 at the Marshall County Blueberry Festival souvenir booths.
